What makes the King's faculty different from those you hear about at other schools?

They're knowledgeable and experienced. More than 82% of our faculty has a Ph.D. or equivalent degrees. They've been entrepreneurs and practitioners, are authors, scientists, and researchers. They engage in scholarly research and ongoing professional development to support and strengthen their primary role of teaching.

They're respected. The American Association of Colleges and Universities (AACU) Greater Expectations Initiative named King's as one of only 16 Leadership Institutions nationwide as part of an organized effort to influence the future of liberal arts higher education. Through our Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT), King's faculty have a wealth of teaching resources at their fingertips.

They're passionate about teaching. The King's faculty are educators, nurturers, advisors, and even friends. They take the time to explain the lesson one more time, answer the question you just couldn't bring yourself to ask in class, and listen intently to your own theory or opinion. Professors are interested in their student's success as individuals and will make themselves available to students - whether it's during scheduled office hours, e-mail or even over coffee. Their priority is teaching - and it shows.
