If you are eligible for Federal Work Study, you have a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience working at a local non-profit organization as a work study student. You can get paid to work with some of the most vulnerable populations in the local community - children, the homeless, and low-income families - and make a difference in their lives.

  • King's Juvenile Justice Mentoring Program

Mentors are needed for the Juvenile Justice Mentoring Program. The goal of the Juvenile Justice Mentoring Program is to engage at-risk youth in positive peer relationships and experiences with college students to show at-risk youth another pathway to adulthood outside the criminal track. Eligible juveniles are those who have been charged with a summary offense, a misdemeanor or non-violent felony, or have been identified by a guidance counselor, district magistrate, probation officer, County Judge, Youth Aid Panel, or parent as exhibiting potential law-violating behavior.

Clinical Laboratory Clerical Assistant - prepare supplies to be sent to physician's offices for use in blood lead screening program. Sort and match screening records with remittance information from various programs served.

 Environmental/Toxicology Laboratory Assistant - various support activities throughout the lab.

Security Resident Advisor - The Security/Resident Advisor will be in charge of maintaining a safe and stable shelter facility which allows the residents to live in a secure environment and fulfill their day-to-day activities and responsibilities.  Advisor will ensure the physical security of the facility as well as enforce residents’, guests’, and volunteers’ compliance with shelter policy and procedures in regard to safety.  As a member of an interdisciplinary team, the Advisor will also keep regular staff informed of residents’ activities.   When not engaged in other tasks, the Security/Resident Advisor may also be asked to perform clerical duties such as filing and answering phones.

Master Leasing Program Assistant - assist Housing Specialist with services geared toward increasing resident's ability to obtain and remain in permanent housing, increase like skills, obtain income stability, and achieve self sufficiency.
