February 12, 2018 - Lucyann Skvarla, a West Wyoming resident who since 1978 has served in various positions at King’s College, was recently selected to receive the Spirit of Holy Cross Award, an annual recognition by the United States Province of Priests and Brothers of the critical importance lay people play in living out the vision and mission of Holy Cross founder Blessed Basil Moreau, C.S.C., to make God known, loved and served in education, parish and mission settings.

Skvarla began working in the faculty secretarial pool and subsequently served as secretary in the Planning Office and as associate director of institutional research.  Her current post is executive assistant to the provost in the Academic Affairs office.  She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from King’s while working full-time.

Skvarla was honored recently at a dinner held at Moreau Court, the residence for members of the Holy Cross Congregation serving King’s and the local community.
